The XBi2 Plus includes the following: Unit, noise suppression hi-fidelity headset, factory installed lithium ion rechargeable battery, mounting bracket, wall charger and user manual. A detachable panel on the left side of the helmet is made specifically to fit the Chatterbox XBi2-H, the same unit that is already available for use with the IS-Max BT and CL-Max II helmets. The XBi2 Plus uses a lithium ion rechargeable battery capable of 8 - 10 hours of talk time with 20 hours standby.
The XBi2 Plus is for virtually any helmet on the market and can communicate with the popular XBi2H Plus unit. The XBi2 Plus features Bluetooth which allows you to pair with up to two accessory devices (cell phone, GPS, mp3/iPOD) at the same time. This technology allows full duplex (conference call type) conversations between a max of 16 riders (bike to bike or rider to passenger) at up to 1/2 mile. They feature CDMA technology for communication, which allows them to be much smaller in size.
The ChatterBox Moderate range models are ideal for riders in small to medium size groups of up to 16 people. Had no issues pairing/syncing to each other, to my iPod, my BB cell phone, and the wifes iPhone 3G. Got it installed no problem in both the rider and passenger helmets. The ChatterBox XBI2 Plus Bluetooth Communicator Combo includes TWO XBI2 Plus Bluetooth Communicator Kits, both with the following features: XBI2 Plus Bluetooth Communicator Kit: I just bought 2 sets of the Chatterbox XBi2-H (same as XBi2, but made to fit right into HJC Blue Tooth ready helmets, like my two CL-MAX II).
